“Correction of the Nukva”

Post's featued image.

42 1/4 x 38 1/4 Acrylic on canvas created with palette knife. From my understanding, the Nukva represents the Moon……the female aspect. And before she joins with her True Love, in a perfect union……married, which is her ultimate destiny and desire, she must first go through a correction process, then once she goes through this correction, she is then clothed by her Heavenly Mother, Binah, and then crowned by Zeir Anpin, her husband. She is the female aspect of God.

41 x 23 Acrylic on canvas. My husband handed me a section of The Houston Chronicle one day, and said to me, “I thought of you when I saw this……I thought you might like to paint it”, so I did. The original painting, is similar, but not exact, was painted in the 14th century I believe, and forgive me, but I do not remember the name of the original artist, whom I believe was from Spain. Anyway, I do love the painting, and when I was reproducing it, making it my own, I wanted to convey what I feel the […]

The woman in this painting is a younger version of me. She is a world traveler, in between worlds.

I saw this image in the marble floor in our bathroom, and like my abstract paintings, there was no pre-conceived idea, it’s just what I saw, then I drew it….painted it…..then gave her a name.

Post's featued image.

One day I was watching the news, and the journalist was reporting on “racism among our youth”. And in this segment, the reporter had actually gone to the school, and was showing each child a picture of two children, each of different color, on a swing, and one child was on the ground beside the swing, and the other was standing. And this reporter was asking the children to give a scenario of what happened, to point out how children view racism. Well, that gave me an idea. I thought to myself…”I wonder what I would look like if I […]

“Lost One”

15 3/4 x 12 3/4 Acrylic on canvas created with palette knife. This piece also has a great deal of texture, and really became something of its own. I call it “Lost One” referencing the bird sitting in the palm tree at the top of the painting. The bird is lost, but also found. The bird is lost and away from its flock, but also safe in paradise.

21 1/4 x 17 1/4 Acrylic on canvas created with palette knife. This painting has a lot of texture to it, as most of my abstracts do. All of my paintings are very different, displaying various styles, but are all part of the same theme…….the same story, and within this story a birth takes place……a spiritual birth, and a butterfly is born, but not it’s not just any butterfly, it’s a Monarch butterfly that was once a Cosmic Caterpillar. It’s true…….there really is a Cosmic Caterpillar……look it up!
