I saw this image in the marble floor in our bathroom, and like my abstract paintings, there was no pre-conceived idea, it’s just what I saw, then I drew it….painted it…..then gave her a name.

18 x 14 Acrylic on canvas. This is what I see…….an embrace of all the is opposite, and of course, the sun is shining upon them.
One day I was watching the news, and the journalist was reporting on “racism among our youth”. And in this segment, the reporter had actually gone to the school, and was showing each child a picture of two children, each of different color, on a swing, and one child was on the ground beside the swing, and the other was standing. And this reporter was asking the children to give a scenario of what happened, to point out how children view racism. Well, that gave me an idea. I thought to myself…”I wonder what I would look like if I […]
28 1/2 x 24 1/2 Acrylic on Canvas. This painting was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s “Madonna and the Yarnwinder”…….I think it is important when reproducing a piece from the Old Masters”, to hold the integrity of the original work of art, by honoring and respecting the master before you, and this is what I aimed to do first and foremost, while adding my own unique style, and mood to his inspirational piece. In my painting, I focused on color, and made the woman and child more intimate to me. The woman’s face in the painting is not detailed and […]
This is a commission piece I did for a lovely woman who contacted me through Facebook. The painting is special to me, because I happen to have painted it a week before Christmas, and also prior to my wedding, and honeymoon, which I/we went to Italy for the first time, and all I can say now, after visiting the country is……..there are many more paintings to come, for I am incredibly inspired to paint, and so look forward to all that is to come.
I painted this for my son’s bedroom, from a photo I got from the internet (photographer unknown)……I painted it while listening to The Smith’s “How Soon is Now”, which I typically paint all my paintings to a particular song, or cd, and I do believe I captured this particular song OH so perfectly……I highly suggest you try enlarging this image of my painting, and viewing it while listening to the song yourself. Go ahead……..TRY IT! I know it will make you smile! “:-)

19 1/4 x 16 1/4 Acrylic on canvas. I painted Elvis to match my Marilyn painting. In my eyes they are two of a kind, both have died too young, and so tragically…….but I wanted to capture and hold on to the innocence that both of them had early on……long before the fame and the drugs took them away. Both were one of kind……extremely special.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas…….it is symbolic of the intimacy between the male and the female.
