38 1/2 x 38 1/2 Acrylic on canvas created with brush and palette knife. I created this piece inspired after seeing Andrea Bocelli perform in concert, where the moon was a constant theme throughout his performance, and also referenced in my favorite song of his “Con the Partino”. The moon also has deep spiritual significance, and the title I chose is based on a Scripture out of the Bible where God calls the moon his “faithful witness in the sky”. The moon represents the female, and the sun represents the male, and together they remind me of a perfect heavenly union…..a marriage if you will, between man and woman, together since the beginning of creation, just like Adam and Eve.
